Danny Payne
- Before launching Stirling, Danny spent over 8 years in lower middle market private equity with experience investing hundreds of millions of equity in non-discretionary service companies.
- Most recently, Danny was a co-founder of Northrim Horizon, where he was instrumental in constructing and validating the firm’s investment strategy and operational framework. During his tenure, the company completed a $50 million capital raise and successfully executed a buy and build strategy across sectors including apartment services, early childhood education, commercial landscaping, and commercial pool services. Before Northrim, Danny was part of the inaugural investment team at The Cynosure Group, an alternative asset manager focused on delivering superior long-term returns for the Eccles family and other like-minded investors. He began his career as an investment banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York.
- Danny graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.S. in Finance where he was a Brigham Young Scholar. Prior to attending BYU, Danny played football at Snow College where he was the 2010 Top of the Mountains Bowl Defensive MVP. He lives in Salt Lake City with his wife, Haley, and their two girls, Isabelle and Scarlett.

Matt Jacobs
- Matt Jacobs joins Stirling Heights from Ultra Clean Express where he was a co-founder of an express car wash platform backed by Lindsay Goldberg. During his tenure at Ultra Clean, the company completed 6 direct to seller transactions. While responsible for all aspects of M&A transaction negotiation and diligence, he built proprietary greenfield models, led capital committee for all projects and worked on strategic projects, such as subscription conversion optimization.
- Before Ultra Clean, Matt was a Portfolio Manager for J. Goldman & Co, a long/short hedge fund. While at J. Goldman & Co. he covered multi-unit retail with a specialty in restaurants, gyms, distributors and franchised businesses. Matt was an analyst for three years, Portfolio Manager for two years and one of the leaders of the new analyst program. Matt began his career as an investment banker at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he advised on over $30 billion in announced transactions.
- Matt graduated from Lehigh University with a B.S. in Finance where he won multiple awards for leadership, academics and investing prowess. He was married to his wife, Mel, in June of 2024. Matt and Mel welcomed their firstborn son, Asher, in February 2026.

Curtis Oscarson
- Curtis Oscarson was a co-founder of Kunzler Bean & Adamson, PC, a boutique corporate law firm in Salt Lake City that serves businesses and investment funds across the U.S. He has advised hundreds of organizations, and more recently, has taken on more direct strategic, finance, operating, structuring and management advisory roles, including as former Chairman of the Board of EPIS, Inc. (acquired by Riverside Partners and later by Blackstone and Vista Equity Partners), a simulation software company serving the power and utilities sector.
- He is a member of the Board of Medical Review Institute of America, LLC (acquired by Summit Partners), a medical and clinical resource company that provides prior authorization, appeal reviews and claims intelligence to health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, TPA’s, etc. Additionally, he is an investor and member of the Board of Craftsman Kitchens, Inc., a premium, boutique provider of design, production, and installation of custom cabinetry and woodwork. Curtis began his career as a corporate associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, P.C. in Silicon Valley and also at Cooley LLP.
- Curtis graduated cum laude from Cornell Law School, and magna cum laude from Brigham Young University in Economics and Business Management, where he was a Hinckley scholar.

Casey Hubbell
- Casey Hubbell joins Stirling Heights from Bain & Company, where he was a Manager in their general consulting arm with an emphasis on Advanced Manufacturing and Services. At Bain, Casey partnered with industrial clients and private equity investors across North America to develop growth strategies, improve operations, and lead commercial due diligence efforts. His work spanned sectors such as construction, hardware manufacturing, and B2B industrial services, with a particular focus on driving post-acquisition value creation.
- Before Bain, Casey was a mechanical engineer at Lockheed Martin and in the oil and gas industry, where he managed complex facilities and led field-level initiatives to improve equipment reliability and performance. This hands-on experience in demanding industrial environments gives him a deep appreciation for the technical and operational realities that drive business outcomes.
- Casey holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University, where he was a Heritage Scholar. He lives with his wife, Abby, and their four daughters in Utah.
